ARTIST REFLECTION :: A Year Closing, A New Season Unfolding

Glistening blankets of snow greet and awaken tired eyes, morning after morning during this exceptionally wintery weather season. Hygge mode is in full swing as we snuggle up in our warmest sweaters, woolen socks and comfy throws, sip pipping tea and gaze in amazement at the frozen wonderland outside. Despite the frigid temperatures, school cancelations, delays and ensuing cabin fever I’m in my glory! When the weather freezes everything to a halt a rare space emerges that offers up a fresh moment of pause and peace. It is simply awe inspiring seeing all that surrounds dressed in white - it is the most beautiful blank canvas moment that stirs my artist instincts with a much needed readiness to begin again. I can’t help but be grateful for this opportunity to take time out of the usual daily hustle to reflect on the year behind and the one ahead.

Purpose | Pursue | Plan :: These are the intentions I’m setting for the new year as I now clearly see how the last 12 months have guided forward, to be more aligned with my values. Onward and upward into 2026!
